SHOW INFORMATION

What is Sustainabilitylive!?
Sustainabilitylive! 2012 is an essential day out for anyone in business today. It confronts some of the leading issues facing 21st century businesses, including the energy crisis, environmental processes, sustainability and water supply.
It comprises the five industry leading exhibitions:

Brownfield Expo (BEX)
BEX is the UK’s largest event for remediation and contaminated land solutions, aimed at land users, contractors, environmental consultants and decision makers from both the public and private sectors looking for products and services to assist in the redevelopment of contaminated land and asbestos and pollution clean up.  BEX will also be host to a 3 day technical programme which provides visitors with up to date industry news and developments, legislation issues and industry practices.

Environmental Technology (ET)
ET is the UK’s biggest industry event within the environmental sector.  It forms the largest gathering of suppliers for environmental best practice solutions in industry, covering the whole spectrum from air pollution control right through to waste minimisation.  ET will be holding a 3 day comprehensive seminar programme, featuring engaging and innovative presentations covering the latest technologies and developments within the industry.

International Water & Effluent Exhibition (IWEX)
IWEX is the UK's leading water & effluent event. Showcasing the latest water technologies and industry expertise IWEX is THE major event for the water industry.   With water resource a major issue facing organisations today and Utility companies continually seeking innovative solutions the need for the industry event has never been greater.  Other features delivering senior buyers include an extensive seminar and conference programme addressing the water industry’s concerns.  Also at IWEX 2012 is the Institute of Water’s famous Drilling and Tapping Competition.

National Energy Management Exhibition (NEMEX)
NEMEX, now in it's 30th year, is the UK’s leading energy and renewables event. And is well positioned to offer innovative technology and tackle new challenges within the energy market. NEMEX brings together energy executives and decision makers across a range of industries all shaping the UK business approach to the latest energy crisis.  Other features at NEMEX 2012 include an extensive seminar programme addressing all aspects of the energy market.

Sustainable Business (SB) – The Event
Sustainable Business - The Event is synonymous with helping to drive the sustainability and climate change agenda forward within UK business. The show attracts environmental decision makers across the full spectrum of private and public sector organisations – from banks and utilities, to retailers and manufacturers – eager to demonstrate how minimising environmental impact can maximise profit.  The three day conference programme takes centre stage at SB- The Event, which will hear business leaders, academics and government policy makers share their insight and best practises in the sustainability agenda.

Where and when does Sustainabilitylive! take place?
Sustainabilitylive! 2012, including BEX, ET, IWEX, NEMEX and SB-The Event takes place from Tuesday, 22nd to Thursday, 24th May 2012 in Halls 3 & 3a at the NEC in Birmingham.

What are the exhibition(s) opening times?
The opening hours for Sustainabilitylive! are:

How do I know who is exhibiting?

Will there be a show guide?
A full show guide featuring full exhibitor profiles and information about Sustainabilitylive! will be available free of charge at the event. Show guides will not be available prior to the event but can be picked up in the registration area for the duration of the shows.

I can’t attend the exhibition(s), can I get a show guide somewhere else?
Availability will depend on the demand at the exhibition. If you are unable to attend Sustainabilitylive! but would like a show guide, please contact Joanna Gibson on 020 8651 7120 who will take your request and get back to you.

 


REGISTRATION AND VISITOR BADGES

How can I register for Sustainabilitylive!?

You can register for Sustainabilitylive! or any of the individual shows online on this website or in the registration areas of the show during show open hours. Entry to all shows is free, irrespective whether you register online or on the day, however, registering in advance will save you time on the day of your visit. Online registration will be live from December 2011. If you are interested in attending and would like us to let you know when registration is open please click here.

How can I register my colleagues?
You can either email your colleagues the registration link for them to register themselves. If you want to register them yourselves, just use the ‘register a colleague’ link showing on the registration completion page once you have registered yourself. 

Does it cost to register before the show?
No, Sustainabilitylive! and the individual shows are all free to attend.  Pre-register to beat the queues on the day.

Is there a cost on the door?
No, Sustainabilitylive! is free whether you pre-register or register on the day.

I attended the show last year; will I automatically receive a badge?
If you attended Sustainabilitylive! 2011 or one of the shows part of Sustainabilitylive! you will be sent a pre-populated registration email where you can update your details and register.
 
I can’t remember if I have registered what should I do?
When you registered for Sustainabilitylive! or one of the individual shows you were sent a confirmation email which has your unique reference number. 

When are the badges sent out?
For environmental reasons we are not sending out badges. You will be able to collect your badge upon arrival at the show in the registration area. Print out you confirmation email including your barcode to use the self-service terminals or go to one of the registration desks where your badge will be printed for you.

I haven’t received my badge yet, what should I do?

What do I do if the details on my badge are incorrect?
If you realise that the details on your badge printed upon arrival are incorrect, please go to one of the registration desks where a member of staff will be happy to change your badge for you.

 


VISITING

I need a letter of invitation, please can you provide one?
Upon registration you are sent a confirmation email that you have registered for the event, you can use this to support your visa application. Unfortunately we are unable to provide any additional letters of invitation. We recommend that you contact your embassy to find out what is required to obtain a visa. Alternatively visit www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk 

I’m a student; can I come to any of these events?
Sustainabilitylive! is a trade event, aimed at environmental professionals. Students of relevant subjects and aged 16 or over are welcome to attend, however, please act in a professional manner. If you are planning to attend as a large group please contact us beforehand for authorisation from ourselves, the Organiser.

Can my children come?
As Sustainabilitylive! is a trade exhibition no person under the age of 16 years can be admitted to the exhibitions at any time. This applies to exhibitors children as well as visitors and will be rigorously enforced to comply with safety regulations. Student groups will only be permitted with prior authorisation from ourselves, the Organisers.

Are there any crèche facilities?
There are no crèche facilities available in the halls during the opening days of the exhibition.

 


SEMINARS

Are the seminars free to attend?
All seminars and feature areas within the exhibition hall are free to attend. Seminars are always very popular and seats will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. For the full free seminar programme visit www.sustainabilitylive.com/seminars

Are the Associated Conferences free to attend?
There will be co-located and associated conferences, workshops and seminars held alongside Sustainabilitylive! in the Suites of the NEC. Some of these events will be paid for or for invited guests only. Further details will be available on the website soon.

Can I book the seminars in advance?
No, space will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. As the seminars are always popular with visitors we recommend you arrive early at the seminar theatre to avoid disappointment.

I can’t attend the exhibition; can I download the presentations from the website?
If agreed by the speaker, their presentations will be available to download from the website three weeks after the show. Please note not all presentations may be available for download.

What is wheelchair access like?
The NEC accommodates all types of visitors including wheelchair users. Faversham House Group also has strict regulations for all exhibitors to ensure that disabled visitors have complete access to exhibitors’ stands.

Can I hire a wheelchair onsite?
Yes. Please ask a member of staff at one of the registration information points for details of how to hire a wheelchair from the venue.

Are pushchairs allowed into the exhibition centre?
No, under 16s are not admitted into the halls.

Will there be anywhere to buy food while I’m at the exhibition?
There will be a number of eating areas within the exhibition halls. If you can’t find an outlet which meets your needs, please ask a member of staff for advice when you arrive at the venue.

Is there a cloakroom at the NEC?
Cloakrooms are available at £1 per item per day.

How do I get to the NEC?
The NEC is located in the middle of the UK, 8 miles East of Birmingham city centre. If you’re coming to the NEC from any part of the UK or flying in from overseas you will find that its central position is at the hub of the UK transport network; you can step directly onto our site from road, rail or air.
