THERE is no time to lose in the battle to save energy and there’s no better place to find the latest ways to make a difference than at NEMEX, the National Energy Management Exhibition.
The 2012 show will feature the latest advances in renewable energy products, energy management services and energy efficient technologies, bringing together energy executives and decision makers from a wide range of industries.
In the last two years the UK’s leading event for energy management has seen a 37 per cent rise in visitors and it will keep up the momentum in 2012 by marking its 30th anniversary with a major new conference.
In addition to offering a great place to do business, when NEMEX returns to the NEC Birmingham, from May 22-24, it will unveil a new conference theatre, transforming the ideas and advice available at this free-to-visit event.
Main sessions on the new stage will cover energy policy, EMR - Electricity Market Reform, procurement and energy supply, REMIT, energy saving, grants and financing, and CRC. There will also be a UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) session and Utility Week magazine will run sessions for its readers, as will MEUC – the Major Energy Users Council.
All this is on top of the existing seminar theatre where topics will include behavioural change, carbon reduction, energy management, lighting, renewables, smart metering, voltage optimisation and more, all under the watchful eye of the steering group which includes ESTA, EiBI, Tesco and the Energy Institute.
It adds up to a winning combination for exhibitors and visitors alike, united by the challenge of meeting the UK’s strict targets to reduce CO2 emissions by 80% by 2050 and to obtain 15% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2020.
NEMEX attracts a diverse audience from large multinationals and SMEs to senior individuals from the public sector, making it the ideal place to launch new products and do business face to face.
Speaking after the 2011 event, Paul Greenwood, Managing Director of Luton-based LEDi Solutions Ltd said: “As this was our first exhibition and we were on unfamiliar territory, the level of support that we received from the NEMEX team was really helpful and the exhibition proved to be a really great success.
“The show delivered exactly the customer base and decision makers that we wanted to engage with. We walked away with over 230 very hot prospects and have signed up for next year.”
Big names also on the list for NEMEX 2012 include INENCO, consultants specialising in energy management, sustainability and environmental services; EBM Papst, a market leader in high quality, technologically advanced air movement products and Business Stream, the company set up when Scottish Water divided its wholesale and retail operations.
Faversham House Group, organisers of NEMEX, is looking to build on the success of recent exhibitions and the experience gained from its 30 years of leading the way.
Event director Donna Bushell said: “Just as the drive to save money through energy efficiency is an ongoing challenge for many organisations, so we are continually reviewing what is on offer at NEMEX, to ensure it offers the latest innovations, ideas and advice, all under one roof.
“The opening of our new main stage theatre is testament to our determination that NEMEX 2012 will be the unmissable event of the year, whatever the size of the operation you represent and at whatever stage you are at in reducing its carbon footprint.”
The 2012 show will take place on May 22-24 in halls 3 and 3a at the NEC, Birmingham.
