    Dr Geoff Archenhold has been seconded twice as an Industrial Advisor to the DTI as the UK's leading expert on Solid-State Lighting. Geoff has developed cross Government partnerships to provide action plans for sustainable lighting within the public sector. Currently, Geoff is advising the European Commission on Solid-State Lighting. Geoff developed the strategy for the UK Government entitled, ?Photonics: A UK Strategy for success?, which was launched with Lord Sainsbury in July 2006. He was named the UK's Young European Entrepreneur of the Year by the DTI in 2000 and a winner of the 2002 BT Euroleader award.
