    Seminar Details

The Carbon Trust has worked with organisations to generate savings of 500,000 tonnes of CO2 per annum, just through behaviour change activities. Indeed, most organisations can save up to 20% on their energy bills simply by better managing their energy use and investing in cost-effective measures. Engaging with employees to raise awareness and change behaviour is a key element in the success of an organisation's Energy Management strategy and achieving carbon reduction targets. In this talk we will highlight the importance of employee engagement and awareness by covering the below points; -The current drivers for carbon reduction (legislation updates, rising energy prices, supply chain pressure) -Key advice to drive good energy management (monitoring and metering, strategy, employee awareness) -Best approaches for getting employees on board and driving behaviour change (senior management buy in, engaging tools, regular communications, highlighting benefits) -Signposting for further information and support The Carbon Trust is a not-for-profit company with the mission to accelerate the move to a low carbon economy. We provide specialist support to business and the public sector to help cut carbon emissions, save energy and commercialise low carbon technologies. We take a practical approach - always looking for where we can make the maximum impact and deliver the most value to our customers. To date, we have helped our customers save around 29.5 million tonnes of carbon and around £2.6 billion in energy costs.
