Location:Water Theatre

  • Dave Hawley, Deritend Industries

    Seminar Details
Dave Hawley, Operations Manager at Deritend, will discuss the various technologies now available for aeration in the water treatment industry, both in the UK and globally. The main focus of the presentation will be on Landustrie surface aerators in particular, showcasing the quantifiable and measurable benefits of using this system above other new technology systems (such as fine bubble aeration) during a retrofit or upgrade. Dave will also be giving in depth analysis on recent data collected with regard to energy consumption and cost efficiencies, as well as practical and evidence-based demonstrations using key case studies. This presentation will explore and benchmark alternative solutions in the aeration process of waste water treatment. It will also highlight specific ways to upgrade technology in the face of growing commercial pressures on cost and budgets, and help provide further understanding of technological developments. Dave is able to deliver in depth knowledge on aeration processes and know-how, practical experience of the economical outputs of different operating systems, mechanical specifications of how the different technologies work in practice, and summarise the key reasons why (and when) a company should adopt the Landustrie state-of-the-art aeration technology within their water treatment systems. Given the UK water industry standards in the context of carbon emissions, Dave intends to fully reconcile the practical ways in which company's can implement changes that deliver in terms of energy efficiency as well as importantly requiring less capital up front, and with a much shorter time period for return on investment.
