The Standing Conference on Land Contamination (SCLC) is holding its annual Plenary Conference for local authority Contaminated Land Officers once more as part of the Brownfield Expo event at the NEC on Thursday the 22nd May 2008.

This is the opportunity for the CLO community to hear about the latest developments in regulation, best practice guidance and other issues important to the effective management of the management of the regeneration of land contamination. The programme is expected to include speakers representing the new Defra contaminated land team and the Department of Communities and Local Government with news about the SGV Way Forward? and other various initiatives to improve the planning process, and presentations on Eco-risk and Risk Communication.

Attendance at the event which is jointly sponsored by Faversham House and the CIEH is limited to local authority Contaminated Land Officers ONLY, attendance is free and refreshments will be provided. Early registration is advisable.
