Environmental Question Time

Wednesday 21st May 2008 – Suite 31

Ever had a burning question that you wanted to debate with environmental experts and activists but couldn’t find a forum to do it in? Well, you will have just that opportunity if you attend CIWEM’s two one-hour Question Time debates at Sustainability Live in Suite 31 on Wednesday 21st May.

  • The first will start at 11.00am with light refreshments and the debate taking place between 11.30am and 12.30pm. The topic for discussion will be The Challenges of Climate Change

  • The second will start at 2.00pm with light refreshments and the debate will take place between 2.30 and 3.30pm. The topic for discussion will be Flooding - living with it or preventing it?

The panels will comprise 5 experts - one each from the Environment Agency, Local Government, a Water Company, a Consultant and the Media. They will all be leading practitioners in their Region and will be able to provide real-life experience of dealing with challenging climate change and flooding issues and their opinions as how best to address them.

Admission will be free and questions must be put to the organisers beforehand either by e-mail to alastair.moseley@wspgroup.com or in writing by post to
Alastair Moseley,
One Queen’s Drive,
Birmingham,
B5 4PJ.

Alternatively you can submit your question in writing on the day at Suite 31 before 10am. Questions to be put to the panel will be selected from those received and the successful authors will be asked to attend and put their question in person, for which they will receive a complimentary gift, courtesy of CIWEM.

When submitting your question please remember to give your name, organisation and contact number, address or e-mail

Whether asking a question or not, this will be an exciting opportunity to listen to or take part in an in-depth discussion of the two most challenging issues facing the World today and in the future. We look forward to your company.
